  • Provide guided teaching and work collaboratively with colleagues across the Academy.

  • Support students to successfully reintegrate into mainstream lessons.

  • Monitor progress and identify strategies to help individual students overcome barriers to learning.

  • Work closely with teaching staff, the Inclusion Team and parents and carers to provide consistent, effective support.

About you

Previous experience of working directly with children or young people is essential. You’ll also:

  • Have experience gained in education, behaviour or inclusion support, SEND, pastoral work or another relevant child-focused environment.

  • Be confident supporting young people who may display challenging behaviour or face barriers to learning.

  • Build positive relationships while establishing clear and consistent boundaries.

  • Be patient, approachable and resilient, with the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.

  • Communicate confidently and effectively with students, colleagues and families.

  • Be motivated by the opportunity to help young people make positive changes and fulfil their potential.
