St Mary and St Peter Catholic Primary School in Gorleston is inviting applications for a Breakfast and After School Club Worker to support before and after school care for children aged 3–11. Salary is £24,796 FTE on a permanent basis with shifts 7.30am–8.30am and 3pm–4pm. Start date ASAP.

The role focuses on safe, engaging activities, safeguarding, and providing a warm, nurturing environment within a dedicated school team.

Qualifications

• Strong organisational and communication skills are required.
• Experience with primary-aged children is desirable.
• Willingness to undertake relevant training and courses.

St Mary and St Peter Catholic Primary School is seeking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic and reliable before school and after school worker to join our dedicated team. This is a wonderful opportunity to support children in a nurturing and welcoming school environment, helping to provide high-quality care before and after the school day.

The Role

You will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day running of our wraparound provision, creating a safe, engaging and enjoyable environment for children aged 3-11. This includes supervising activities, promoting positive behaviour, and ensuring the wellbeing of all children in your care.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is warm, nurturing and committed to supporting children’s wellbeing
• Has strong organisational and communication skills
• Can plan and deliver fun, age-appropriate activities
• Works well as part of a team and uses their initiative
• Understands the importance of safeguarding and child protection

Experience and Qualifications:

• Experience working with primary-aged children is desirable
• Food hygiene and First Aid qualifications are desirable (training can be provided)
• A willingness to undertake relevant training
