The Beecroft Institute of Particle Astrophysics and Cosmology at the University of Oxford invites applications for a Beecroft Fellowship in Cosmology.

The post holder will develop a personal research programme in theoretical cosmology, potentially including numerical modelling and data analysis, with emphasis on deploying new machine learning methods to extract new physics from upcoming cosmological surveys.

Qualifications

  • PhD in physics or related field expected or close to completion.
  • Experience in cosmology, computational astrophysics or gravitational physics advantageous.
  • Ability to contribute to publications and presentations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a personal research programme in theoretical cosmology and gravitational waves.
  • Demonstrate ability to manage own academic research and admin tasks.
  • Contribute to publications and seminars within BIPAC and the physics group.
