Job summary

SFJ Awards is seeking an External Quality Assurance Associate with significant experience in fire safety and audit/quality assurance to quality check our Centre assessments and QA processes.

The role requires knowledge of the fire and rescue training sector, recent QA/assessment experience, and preferably an External QA qualification. The position is flexible and email [e-mail] for more information.

SFJ Awards is the Awarding Organisation specialising in qualifications for the Policing, Fire and Rescue, Fire Safety and Resilience sectors. Regulated in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, SFJ Awards is seeks to offer the best quality and most trusted qualifications in fire and rescue.

We are seeking applications from candidates to become External Quality Assurance Associates and would like to hear from suitably qualified and experienced professionals with have significant practical experience of working within fire safety and audit assessment and quality assurance.

The role of our External Quality Assurance Associate is to Quality Assure our Centre’s assessment and Internal Quality Assurance against SFJ Awards requirements, and to ensure our Centres continue to comply with the SFJ Awards Approved Centre requirements. The role is flexible.

To Be Considered, Our EQAs Must Have:

• A thorough knowledge of training within the fire and rescue sector.
• Recent experience of assessing and/or internal quality assurance of fire safety qualifications.
• (Desirable) An External Quality Assurance qualification (Level 4 Award in the External Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice).
