Job Overview

John Smeaton Academy is seeking to recruit an inspirational colleague to the role of Beacon Teaching Assistant. The successful candidate will work under the direct instruction of teaching/senior staff, within the Beacon department – our mainstream academy SEND and Inclusion provision – to support the teacher on implementing a curriculum which is tailored to individual needs, enabling pupils to reach their full potential.

  • Good numeracy/literacy skills.
  • Experience of working with or caring for children of relevant age.
  • Ability to relate well to children and young people.
