Do you have a deep understanding of Business Central architecture, solution design, and manufacturing modules? This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with commercial and technical teams, define best-in-class manufacturing solutions, and ensure seamless integrations across business applications. Your ability to align technology with complex manufacturing processes will be critical to success.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the technical lead and solution owner for Dynamics 365 Business Central manufacturing implementations.
- Engage with stakeholders to define solution architecture, gather requirements, and align Business Central with manufacturing and wider business objectives.
- Design scalable, high‑performing solutions for manufacturing environments, ensuring best practices in production planning, scheduling, and shop floor control.
- Oversee end‑to‑end implementations, including:
- Solution design & architecture
- Manufacturing module configuration (Production Orders, BOMs, Routings, MRP, Capacity Planning, Shop Floor Data Capture)
- Data migration strategies
- User training & system testing
- Provide technical leadership to functional consultants, developers, and integration teams.
- Define and enforce governance, standards, and best practices for Business Central in manufacturing contexts.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, recommending ERP solutions that enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimise production flows.
- Drive innovation by staying ahead of emerging trends and new features in Business Central manufacturing.
- Take responsibility for technical documentation, knowledge sharing, and mentoring junior consultants.
- Collaborate with pre‑sales teams, contributing to solution design, proposals, and proof‑of‑concept demonstrations.
- Ensure seamless integration between Business Central, Power Platform, Azure, and third‑party applications.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- 7+ years of experience in Dynamics 365 Business Central / Navision (2013+), with a strong track record in solution architecture and manufacturing‑focused implementations.
- Deep expertise in Business Central manufacturing modules (Production, Planning, MRP, Capacity, Inventory, Shop Floor).
- Strong knowledge of third‑party tools such as Continia, Jet Reports, and Power BI.
- Experience with C / AL & AL development, extending Business Central with custom solutions.
- Hands‑on experience with Azure Services, Dataverse, and Power Platform.
- Strong understanding of Office 365 and its integration with Dynamics 365.
- Ability to create scalable reporting solutions using SSRS and Power BI.
- Experience leading cross‑functional teams and mentoring junior consultants.
- Strong pre‑sales experience, including solution design, RFPs, and client presentations.
- Proven ability to design and deliver high‑performance, cost‑effective ERP solutions that drive measurable business value.
Desirable Skills
- Experience in multi‑tenant or multi‑company Business Central environments.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud‑native application design.
- Knowledge of emerging Microsoft technologies that complement Business Central in manufacturing.
