Job summary

Soho House in London is seeking a Bartender to deliver premium beverage experiences, support Bar Manager and Assistant Bar Manager, ensure bar is fully operational, stocked, and presented to the highest standard.

You will prepare classic and contemporary cocktails, wines and spirits with precision and flair, while creating a welcoming atmosphere for members and guests. Fluent English and 2-3 years' experience expected. This role offers weekly pay and substantial staff benefits.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years’ experience in similar capacity.
• Strong cocktail knowledge, including classics and techniques.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and a calm presence during busy service.
• Experience with POS systems, stock control, and basic reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a wide variety of drinks to a high standard, including cocktails, wines, beers and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Engage with members and guests in a warm, professional manner, remembering preferences.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation of the bar.
• Assist with stock rotation and replenishment during the shift.
• Ensure compliance with licensing, health and safety standards at all times.
• Contribute to development of new cocktail menus with the bar team.
• Process orders accurately with the POS system and ensure correct billing.
• Collaborate with floor, kitchen and events teams for seamless service.
• Handle member queries and escalate concerns to management when needed.

Key duties…

• Prepare and serve a wide variety of drinks to a consistently high standard, including cocktails, spirits, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Engage with members and guests in a warm, professional manner, remembering preferences and delivering a personalised experience.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation of the bar before, during, and after service.
• Assist with stock rotation, inventory, and replenishment of supplies throughout the shift.
• Ensure compliance with licensing, health & safety, and hygiene standards always.
• Contribute to the development of new cocktail menus and seasonal drink offerings in collaboration with the bar team.
• Process orders accurately using the POS system and ensure all billing is completed to club standards.
• Collaborate effectively with the floor team, kitchen, and events department to ensure smooth and seamless service.
• Handle member queries and feedback confidently, escalating any concerns to management as appropriate.

What We Are Looking For...

• 2 -3 years’ experience in similar capacity
• Strong cocktail knowledge, including classics, techniques, and spirits.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and a confident, calm presence during busy services.
• Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high standards and attention to detail.
• Experience working with POS systems, stock control, and basic reporting.
• Team player with a flexible, professional, and positive attitude.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Personal License or willingness to obtain one (preferred).
