Job summary

Starbucks Sutterton is seeking a friendly Barista to deliver an exceptional customer experience, serve beverages and food to Starbucks standards, and help create a welcoming store environment.

You will work in a fast-paced cafe, greet customers, handle orders at the till, maintain cleanliness, support busy periods, and contribute to safe, high-quality service. Training and development opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic cash handling and transaction processing skills.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move stock when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service.
• Take accurate orders and operate the point-of-sale system.
• Prepare and serve coffee, tea, specialty drinks, and food items according to Starbucks recipes and standards.
• Operate espresso machines, grinders, and other café equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of work areas, equipment, and customer spaces in line with health and safety standards.
• Restock supplies and monitor inventory levels to ensure smooth store operations.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and provide support during busy periods.
• Follow all company policies and procedures, including cash handling, safety, and food hygiene requirements.
• Assist with training of new team members when needed.
