Job summary

Chartwells is recruiting an Assistant (Zero Hours) to support smooth operations on a permanent casual basis, contracted to 0 hours per week. This role involves assisting with drink preparation, service, and payments at school sites, while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.

The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator with customer service experience, able to work under pressure, and eager to learn brewing methods.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in customer service is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work under pressure and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Prepare drinks and serve high-quality food to customers.
• Keep the bar area clean and stocked.
• Receive and process payments (cash and card).
• Be an enthusiastic team player and communicate clearly.
• Maintain stock of mugs and plates.
• Learn brewing methods and beverage preparation techniques.
• Check brewing equipment and report maintenance needs.
• Represent Chartwells and uphold brand image.
• Comply with Food Handling & Hygiene standards.
• Follow Health & Safety regulations.
