Job summary

Compass Group UK is recruiting a driven Barista for Universities on a full-time basis, contracted to 35 hours per week. You will craft beverages and deliver first-class service, helping customers enjoy beautifully prepared coffees while progressing within a company that values individuality.

Shifts are 5 out of 7 days, with a 40-week per year contract. You will learn brewing methods, maintain standards, handle payments and work as part of a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service preferred.
• Hands-on with brewing equipment and beverages.
• Able to work under pressure and meet standards.
• Maintain hygiene and food handling standards.
• Cash handling and POS experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare drinks and serve high-quality food to customers.
• Keep the bar area clean and organized.
• Receive and process payments (cash and cards).
• Be an enthusiastic team player and effective communicator.
• Maintain stock of mugs and dishes and replenish as needed.
• Learn brewing methods, beverage blends, and presentation techniques.
• Check equipment operation and report maintenance needs.
• Represent Universities and uphold the brand image.
• Comply with Food Handling & Hygiene standards and Health & Safety regulations.

We're currently recruiting a driven Barista to help us create beautifully crafted drinks for Universities on a full time basis, contracted to 35 hours per week. As a Barista, you will use your skills to deliver first-class service and perfectly crafted coffees to our customers. Here's what you need to know before applying:

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing perfectly blended drinks and serving high-quality food that delights our customers
• Keeping the bar area clean
• Receiving and processing payments (cash and credit cards)
• Being an enthusiastic team player and excellent communicator
• Maintaining stock of clean mugs and plates
• Learning about brewing methods, beverage blends, food preparation and presentation techniques
• Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs
• Representing Universities and maintaining a positive brand image
• Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards
• Complying with Health & Safety regulations
