Kybelle Cafe in London is seeking an experienced Barista with a passion for specialty coffee and advanced latte art. You will craft high-quality beverages to exacting standards and maintain a welcoming, efficient coffee bar.

Join a fast-paced team committed to consistency, presentation, and training junior staff. This full-time role offers weekends, a competitive hourly rate (£12–£13) and monthly tips, with a focus on great guest experiences in Shoreditch.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years as a barista in a specialty coffee environment.
• Proficient in espresso extraction and milk texturing techniques.
• Advanced latte art skills and consistent presentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee to established standards.
• Execute advanced latte art with precision and consistency.
• Dial in espresso and adjust grind settings for optimal extraction.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar and equipment.
• Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service in a welcoming atmosphere.
• Manage workflow during peak periods while maintaining beverage quality.
• Assist with stock management, including ordering and inventory checks.
• Support opening and closing procedures.
• Train and mentor junior baristas as needed.

• Execute advanced latte art (including rosettas, tulips, swans, etc.) with precision and consistency..
• Expertly dial in espresso and adjust grind settings throughout the day to ensure optimal extraction..
• Maintain impeccable cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar and all equipment..
• Provide friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable customer service, creating a welcoming atmosphere..
• Effectively manage workflow during peak periods while consistently maintaining beverage quality..
• Assist with stock management, including ordering, rotation, and inventory checks..
• Support daily opening and closing procedures..
• Train and mentor junior baristas as needed, sharing expertise and best practices..

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a barista in a specialty coffee environment..
• Profound knowledge of espresso extraction, milk texturing techniques, and various brew methods..
• Demonstrable advanced latte art skills..
