Job summary

Compass Group PLC is seeking a motivated Barista to craft beverages and provide excellent service in a Chartwells venue. This part-time role is contracted to 20 hours per week, with duties spanning drink preparation, cash handling, and maintaining a clean bar area.

Ideal candidates will have prior customer service experience, hands-on brewing equipment knowledge, and the ability to work under pressure. The role offers progression and a chance to grow within the company.

Responsibilities

• Prepare beverages and serve food to customers.
• Keep the bar area clean and well organised.

• Maintain stock of mugs and plates and restock as needed.
• Learn brewing methods, beverage blends, and presentation techniques.
• Check brewing equipment and report maintenance needs.
• Represent Chartwells and uphold a positive brand image.
• Comply with Food Hygiene, Health and Safety standards.

We're currently recruiting a driven Barista to help us create beautifully crafted drinks for Chartwells on a part time basis, contracted to 20 hours per week. As a Barista, you will use your skills to deliver first-class service and perfectly crafted coffees to our customers. • Preparing perfectly blended drinks and serving high-quality food that delights our customers
• Keeping the bar area clean
• Receiving and processing payments (cash and credit cards)
• Being an enthusiastic team player and excellent communicator
• Maintaining stock of clean mugs and plates
• Learning about brewing methods, beverage blends, food preparation and presentation techniques
• Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs
• Representing Chartwells and maintaining a positive brand image
• Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards
• Complying with Health & Safety regulations
  Be a brilliant communicator and easily build relationships
• Have previous experience in customer service
