Role: Barista / General Assistant (Contract: Banking). Location: London, EC2Y 9AN. Hours: 40 per week. Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 07:30 to 16:00. Contract Type: Permanent. Hourly Rate: £14.12.

We are seeking a personable and reliable Barista/General Assistant to join our front-of-house team in a professional corporate catering environment. This dual-role position combines high-quality coffee service with general food service, ensuring an exceptional experience for all clients and guests. You will play a key role in delivering efficient, friendly service across coffee stations, restaurants, and occasional hospitality areas, while supporting general catering duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Barista Service: Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages to a consistently high standard, using barista equipment and demonstrating excellent product knowledge.
• Customer Interaction: Provide warm, professional service, building rapport with clients and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
• Hospitality Support: Assist with the setup, service, and clear-down of meetings and events, ensuring spaces are clean, presentable, and fully stocked.
• Food Service: Support the presentation and service of food in grab-and-go or buffet formats, adhering to portion control and food safety guidelines.
• General Duties: Perform cleaning, restocking, and basic food preparation to support the wider catering team.
• Health & Safety Compliance: Follow all food safety, hygiene, and allergen procedures in line with company policy and legal requirements.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with chefs, supervisors, and colleagues to ensure smooth and efficient service throughout the day.
