Job summary

Simmons Bars in London is seeking a Barback to help elevate the party experience for guests across our venues. You will support the bar team and contribute to high guest satisfaction in a bustling, late-night setting.

No prior bar experience is required as training will get you up to speed within four weeks. You’ll work in a lively environment with opportunities to grow within a well-known London bar group.

Qualifications

• No previous bar experience required; training provided within 4 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Guest experience at the highest level and guest satisfaction at the centre of all actions.
• Floor cleaning to keep floors clean, dry and debris-free.
• Bar support including restocking, refilling ice and garnishes, and garnish prep.
• Responsible service of alcohol and flagging intoxicated guests to management.
• General cleaning and ensuring glassware cleanliness and restocking of glassware.
• Glass washing machines: proper use, setup, cleaning and breakdown.
• Demonstrating our values every day.

Who We Are

We’re well known for being the best bar group in London (and probably the world). A late night cocktail party bar offering you the perfect place for after work drinks or a cheeky dance into the early hours. We’re located in lots of different places across London, we can be hired out for private parties and we have a notoriously eclectic musical taste; ranging from hip-hop, to disco, to funk, to 80’s, to 90’s to classic party bangers!

About You

As a Barback, you'll play a key role in assisting the bar team to elevate the party experience for our guests and making sure they come back time and time again! Previous experience isn't necessary, we will train you and get you up to scratch within 4 weeks.

What You'll Do

• Guest Experience - to ensure that guest experience is at the highest level possible at all times and to make sure this is at the centre of all actions taken in the venue.
• Floor cleaning - to ensure floors are kept clean, dry and clear of all debris.
• Bar support - to assist the bar team in delivery of service including but not limited to: re stocking, refilling ice and garnishes, garnish prep, making pre-mixes.
• Responsible service of alcohol - to ensure that overly intoxicated guests are not served, and are flagged up to venue management.
• General cleaning - where issues are seen, to follow up in a timely manner and ensure any needed cleaning is completed.Glass cleanliness - responsible for high cleanliness standard of all glassware and for re-stocking the bar with glassware.
• Glass washing machines - in charge of responsible use of glass washing machines, their proper set up, cleaning and break down.
