Job summary

Greene King pubs in Brighton are seeking Bar & Waiting Staff to pour pints, recommend drinks, and create a warm welcome for every guest. You will join a fun, inclusive team and grow your skills while contributing to memorable moments.

You will help maintain safety and cleanliness, assist with meals, and enjoy benefits including discounts, pension, and wellbeing support. Fluency in English and a positive attitude are essential.

Qualifications

• Provide customers with a heartfelt and memorable experience each and every time they visit.
• Be the insider behind the bar, offering recommendations to customers.
• Prepare and present drinks that meet specifications and customer expectations.
• Assist in greeting, serving food and looking after our customers whilst they dine with us.
• Make sure the bar is always safe, legal, and clean, and any issues are dealt with as quickly and safely as possible.

Responsibilities

• Pour and serve beverages to customers while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
• Recommend drinks to guests and upsell where appropriate.
• Greet guests, take orders, and assist with food service when needed.
• Ensure bar, tables, and dining area are clean and well presented.
• Maintain safety, allergen controls, and compliance with licensing and hygiene standards.

Job Description

As Bar & Waiting Staff, you’ll be key to creating unforgettable moments for customers, whether you’re pouring a pint or recommending the perfect drink to a customer after a long day, you’ll keep the good times flowing. You’ll be joining a fun and inclusive team, where you can grow and strengthen your skills and experience.

Qualifications

As a member of our Bar & Waiting Staff, you will…

• Sufficient spoken and written English to perform the role safely and understand allergen controls.
