Job summary

Beyond is opening a new bar and restaurant in Birmingham City Centre in December 2026. We are recruiting Bartenders to join the founding team at Beyond, operated by a professional team backed by University College Birmingham.

The role offers development opportunities across coffee and cocktails, with training and pathways to move between sites as the team grows. You will work across a seven-day operation, including evenings and weekends, in a quality-led bar setting with opportunities for

• Bar experience in quality-led venues.
• Ability to make drinks to spec
• Willingness to learn coffee as well as cocktails.

Responsibilities

• Provide bar service to customers across day and night shifts.
• Prepare drinks to specification and maintain consistency.
• Learn coffee preparation to the same standard as cocktails.
• Maintain bar cleanliness and stock levels throughout service.

Bartender | Birmingham City Centre, B3 | £13.50 per hour plus tronc

• £13.50 per hour, approximately £31,590 per annum based on 45 hours per week

We're recruiting Bartenders to join the opening team at Beyond, University College Birmingham's new bar and restaurant in Birmingham City Centre, opening in December 2026. Beyond is a commercial operation run by a professional team, and these are purely operational roles with no teaching involved. The bar changes with the time of day. During the day it supports an all-day offer built around excellent coffee, and in the evening it runs a proper drinks offer alongside serious food. You'll learn both sides, so you'll come away trained in coffee and cocktails to the same standard.

What are we looking for from Bartender candidates?

• Bar experience in a quality-led bar, restaurant or hotel
• Able to make drinks to spec, consistently, through a full service
• Happy to learn the coffee side to the same standard as the bar
• Confident talking to guests and comfortable on a busy bar
• Tidy, organised and quick to reset between services
• Available across a seven day operation, including evenings and weekends
