Job summary

J D Wetherspoon is seeking team members to serve food and drinks to customers with focus on accuracy and efficiency. You will work across bar, dining areas and events, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, safety and service.

Training is provided, with clear paths for progression; roles offer flexible shift patterns and opportunities to move into leadership tracks depending on performance.

Qualifications

• No specific degree required; a positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential.
• Must have proof of right to work and a bank account in your name.
• Able to communicate in English and understand training tasks.

Responsibilities

• Take orders and serve drinks and food to the correct specification, at bar or via the app.
• Deliver food to tables; complete check-backs and clear plates promptly.
• Provide friendly customer interactions: greet, thank customers and build rapport.
• Be knowledgeable about promotions, events and new products.
• Maintain clean-as-you-go standards, clear tables, wipe surfaces and check toilets.
• Work across areas including glass-washing, restocking fridges, floors and beer garden.
• Training will cover duties; important requirements include right to work and basic literacy.
