The Three Tuns in Thirsk is recruiting bar staff to join J D Wetherspoon. No experience needed; a positive attitude and willingness to learn are valued. You’ll serve drinks and food, work flexibly across shifts, and be part of a supportive team in a busy pub environment.

Income starts at £12.81 per hour with benefits including meals on shift, staff discounts, and opportunities for progression. Applications close on 01-10-2026; hours per week are 20.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; a good attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• taking orders, preparing, dispensing and serving drinks to the correct spec, whether at the bar or via the customer app
• delivering food to customers, ensuring check-backs are completed and clearing plates within the required timeframe
• providing friendly customer interactions: say hello, thank customers and build rapport
• being knowledgeable about promotions, events and new products
• maintain our 'clean as you go' standards, including clearing tables, wiping surfaces and toilet checks
• working in all areas, including glass-washing, restocking fridges, floor and beer garden clearing and other duties, as needed
