Job summary

Soho House is seeking a Barback to support the bar team and ensure members and guests receive fast, high-quality service. You will deliver drinks from the bar to tables, restock and assist bartenders, and help maintain a pristine bar and dining environment.

You will work closely with front and back of house teams, participate in regular tastings, and contribute to a welcoming, member-focused atmosphere.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years experience in similar capacity.
• Basic understanding of bar operations, hygiene standards, and stock rotation.
• Must be hospitable, approachable, passionate about customer service and respectful towards colleagues and guests
• Must be able to demonstrate competency as outlined in the training schedule and Club School
• Must be able to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and holidays as needed
• Ability to take direction, work in a team environment and autonomously

Responsibilities

• Bring drinks quickly from the bar to its respective location in the restaurants and deliver to members.
• Maintain a spotless, pristine work environment
• Provides service to and is accountable for an assigned section.
• Develop relationships with members to provide personalized service.
• Polishing glassware ensuring they are ready for service.
• Assist bartenders during service by restocking ingredients, running drinks, and retrieving supplies from storage or cellar.
• Perform opening and closing procedures including but not limited to the set up and break down of stations.
• Ensure all service equipment is handled carefully and stored correctly.
• Maintain a spotless and pristine working environment.
• Attending regular meetings with front and back of house teams to learn about any menu changes and specials alongside daily tastings.
