Job summary

Delta Hotels by Marriott St Pierre Country Club in Wales is seeking a supervisory hospitality professional to lead bar and restaurant teams. You will coach staff, support recruitment, and ensure training and brand standards are consistently met to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

The role requires coordinating with management to maintain high-quality service, manage payroll and forecasting, and promote internal transfers within Marriott's global network.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience in a supervisory customer service role.

Responsibilities

  • Assist manager in writing annual departmental business plan.
  • Maximise inter departmental relationships.
  • Motivate, coach and train associates within all aspects of the operation.
  • Assist in recruitment and selection of the bar team.
  • Ensure associates receive mandatory training on induction, New Hire, Passports, DDA, H&S, and In the Beginning.
  • Maximise usage of associates between the Bar and Restaurant.
  • Ensure level of service matches hotel and company standards to exceed guest expectations.
  • Ensure Marriott brand standards are met and maintained.
  • Oversee the departmental H&S file and brand standard files.
  • Ensure weekly payroll and revenue forecast is completed.
  • Take action on underperformance and ensure liquor controls and weekly stock takes.
  • Organise and run monthly departmental meetings and communicate minutes.

  • To ensure all associates adhere to the Marriott 6 principles of hospitality at all times
  • To ensure departmental and company procedures are adhered to at all times
  • To ensure that all monies are held in a proper manner, recorded and locked away in accordance with company standards
Safety and Company Policies
  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager.
  • Complete safety training and certifications.
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
  • Communicate with others using clear and professional language.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others.
  • Support the team to reach common goals.
  • Listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
  • Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
