What This Role Is Here To Do (Role Purpose)

As Bar Supervisor, you set the pace on shift and lead a section of the bar. You make sure drinks are made to spec, stations stay stocked and spotless, and the team keeps service fast, friendly, and consistent. You coach bartenders in the moment, manage breaks and deployment, and keep communication tight with the Assistant Bar Manager and Bar Manager.

What Success Looks Like
  • Your section hits speed and accuracy targets during peak service.
  • Drinks presentation and specs are consistently excellent; guest feedback is positive.
  • Stations are clean, organised, and well‑stocked throughout service and at close.
  • Stock usage and wastage are controlled and recorded accurately.
  • Bartenders are supported, coached, and confident; new starters are brought up to standard quickly.
  • Handover notes are clear; opening/closing checklists are completed to standard.
  • Issues are spotted early and escalated promptly when needed.

  • Uphold licensing and safety standards (Challenge 25, allergens, COSHH, H&S).
  • Handle minor guest issues professionally; escalate appropriately to ABM/BM.
  • Support transaction handling, till accuracy, and daily paperwork as required.
