The Blues Kitchen, part of The Columbo Group, is looking for an Assistant Bar Manager to lead a busy bar team in a London venue. You will drive service standards, guest experience and profitability while developing bartenders and supporting supervisors.

This role requires hands-on leadership on the floor, commercial insight, and a passion for hospitality. You will join a vibrant venue known for great drinks, live music and a dynamic team environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Assistant Bar Manager or Senior Bar Supervisor in a busy hospitality venue.
• Strong cocktail knowledge.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Commercial awareness and understanding of stock, labour and profitability.
• Calm under pressure and confident making decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operation of the bar and support the wider management team.
• Drive standards across service, drinks quality and guest experience.
• Recruit, train and develop bartenders, supervisors and bar support teams.
• Take ownership of stock control, ordering, GP and wastage management.
• Lead busy services and ensure the team delivers with energy and consistency.
• Create a positive culture where people feel supported, motivated and accountable.
• Help manage labour, rotas and operational efficiency.
• Handle guest feedback and resolve issues with confidence and care.
• Work closely with senior management to drive performance and achieve venue targets.
