Rooftop Bar Back £13.73 per hour (incl. Tronc) + Additional Tips & Company Benefits. Full-time (40 hrs). Kings Cross. Midnight finish.

The Standard is relaunching The Rooftop, an open-air bar and terrace with stunning views of the London skyline, perfect for cocktails, beers, pizza, and great music. Located on the 11th floor in central London, this venue offers opportunities to transfer within the hotel’s restaurants and bars.

Back by popular demand, The Rooftop is a vibrant space hosting public and private events, including parties and performances. It is a joyful, playful, and picturesque venue, set high above the city.

Your role

As a Rooftop Bar Back, you will join an exceptional team launching this exciting venue. You should be passionate about service, with experience in bar & restaurant operations and high-volume environments. Outdoor work experience is a plus.

You need to be highly organized, proactive, social, upbeat, friendly, confident, and able to handle pressure. The role requires thriving in a busy, energetic environment and managing multiple tasks with ease.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Bar Back or Bartender, ideally in a boutique hotel, destination restaurant, high-quality pop-up, or cocktail bar.
• Knowledge of restaurant operations and the order of service, with good understanding of food and drinks.
• Highly social, motivated, proactive, professional, and positive in all interactions.
• Hands-on approach to service and comfortable working outdoors.
• Available full-time with flexibility to work Monday to Sunday, including all of the Rooftop season (April to October), with potential transfer opportunities afterward.
