The Bar Assistant role will be responsible for ensuring our customers have a first-class visitor experience that reflects the mission and values of the organisation. Duties will include maintaining up-to-date knowledge of food and drink offerings as well as proactively driving sales while managing queues efficiently. The position requires collaboration with catering teams to ensure seamless service adherence to hygiene and food safety standards and support during internal and external events. Additional duties involve handling complaints professionally operating EPOS systems and maintaining cleanliness and reporting maintenance issues.
Our ideal candidate will have barista and bar experience. You must have strong numeracy skills and able to handle cash confidently. Good communication skills are key as well as maintaining a professional calm and welcoming attitude. You will need to be able to work a variety of shifts which will include evenings and weekends.
Period of Work : This is an ongoing fully flexible zero hours agreement. Shifts will be scheduled daytime evenings and weekends.
Pay : 12.60 per hour
Hours : Variable depending on the operational needs of the business. You will provide availability and be engaged by the business based on that availability as and when required.
Holidays : The holiday year begins on 1st September each year. Your paid holiday entitlement is 5.6 working weeks per annum pro-rata. Your holiday pay will be calculated at 12.07% of your earnings. Holiday pay is paid in the month in which the hours are worked.
Notice Period : 1 week
Location of Work : Your main place of work will be The Rep in Birmingham but you may be required to work permanently or temporarily at other locations locally.
