As a Bar & Waiting Team Leader you will be responsible for
People
- Oversee the Team Members guest service to ensure that the guest needs are anticipated by whomever they are served by, coaching and guiding where necessary
- Train, coach and guide Team Members in all aspects of the business
- Motivate and lead Team Members so as to create a good working atmosphere within the team and in the business
- Assist the kitchen team when necessary to ensure quality product and service is delivered to the guest
- Demonstrate a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance as explained in the Staff Handbook and House / Concept uniform policy at all times
Guest
- Deliver outstanding guest service at all times throughout all aspects of the guest journey
- Serve quality food and drink to our guests as per Company standard in a warm and friendly manner
- Ensure the bar, floor and back of house areas are kept clean and tidy by overseeing the cleaning rota ensuring all tasks are completed to the expected standard, assisting the team when necessary
- Anticipate and resolve all guest requests and complaints immediately, and in a professional manner, communicating issues in the agreed way to the General Manager
- Complete the Figure of 8 Management walk every shift
- Oversee opening and closing procedures ensuring that all tasks are completed to House standard
Sales
- Assist the guest in their choice of drink and food range available, offering up-sales, add-on sales and premium products as and when appropriate to maximise sales
- Coach and guide the Team Members during service to ensure they are focussed on maximising sales opportunities
- Assist in delivering the sales targets set for the House
Profit
- Oversee that all till transactions, including cash/cheque/credit card payments and the teams tips are in accordance with Company and house management policy
- Completion of opening and closing cash handling procedures in a safe and secure manner
- Maintain stock controls, complete stock taking activities and report any stock losses or gains to the Manager
- Assist in delivering the financial targets set for the House
- Ensure that yourself and all Team Members adhere to licensing laws, food safety policies, health and safety procedures and Company policies
- Maintain the security of the business during pre-opening, service and closing duties
- Undertake additional tasks not directly specified above as deemed appropriate for the role undertaken to ensure all our guests expectations are exceeded
Prior experience within a supervisory role is essential and a personal license, however full training will be given through the McMullen GROW Programme both in house and at our Training and Development Centre in Hertford.
Contract will be flexible 15-25 hours.
