Job summary

SLH Consult is recruiting for an experienced Gateman / Traffic Marshal to join a busy housing development site in Nottingham on an ongoing freelance basis. You will be the first point of contact, managing site safety and vehicle access with a focus on keeping pedestrians safe.

• Valid CSCS Card is required.
• Traffic Marshal / Vehicle Banksman Ticket (CPCS, NPORS, or equivalent).
• Full PPE (Hard hat, high-vis jacket, steel toe cap boots).
• Experience: 1–2 years on a busy housing site.
• Reliability: excellent timekeeping and communication.
• Ability to work as part of a team.

SLH Consult are partnering our client a national house builder who are looking to appoint an experienced Gateman / Traffic Marshal for an ongoing freelance position that could span upto 2 years . You will join a busy, fast-paced housing development site in Nottingham.

As the first point of contact, you will manage site safety and control vehicle access.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage access: Greet all site visitors and log incoming deliveries.
• Direct traffic: Safely guide delivery vehicles and plant machinery on and off site.
• Pedestrian safety: Ensure public safety at the site entrance boundaries.
• Secure site: Maintain gate security and check visitor credentials.
• You will also be required to assist with site based duties from time to time.

What We Need From You

• Valid CSCS Card
• Traffic Marshal / Vehicle Banksman Ticket (CPCS, NPORS, or equivalent standard certificate)
• Full PPE (Hard hat, high-vis jacket, and steel toe cap boots)
• Experience: Minimum 1-2 years working on a busy housing site.
• Reliability: Excellent timekeeping and communication skills.
