J.P. Morgan in London is seeking an Equity Research Analyst in the Banks team to develop sector expertise, deliver actionable insights, and contribute to the Global Research franchise.

You will work under mentorship of senior analysts, developing thought-leading reports and stock insights for institutional clients. The role emphasizes building financial models, updating valuation work, and preparing materials for reports, while staying current on industry developments and maintaining strong

Qualifications

• Preferred profiles: math, engineering, or computer science.
• Strong numeracy and modelling skills.
• Analytical approach to building and maintaining financial models.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Interest in equities and sector research preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with senior colleagues in the team to provide thought-leadership to institutional clients with respect to the sector
• Maintain and update valuation models and databases
• Prepare materials for the regular publication of research reports, including data analysis and presentation
• Contribute to the writing of research reports, including quarterly results alerts, stock reports, and thematic pieces
• Communicate with institutional investors and company representatives, as well as internal clients (Sales, Sales-Traders, and Traders)
• Stay abreast of company and industry developments
