Job summary

Norton Rose Fulbright is seeking an experienced Legal Project Manager to join our Banking LPM capability. The role focuses on leading complex banking and finance matters, coordinating with partners, fee earners, and business professionals to deliver efficient legal services worldwide.

The successful candidate will drive project plans, scope management, risk and cost controls, and data-driven reporting to support client engagements and profitability.

Qualifications

• Educated to a degree level.
• Demonstrable experience in a leading law firm on banking and finance matters.
• Experience with legal project execution and reporting processes.
• Ability to manage budgets and client engagements with strong financial awareness.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage banking and finance legal projects, including due diligence, loan portfolio reviews, transfers/novations, and repapering.
• Develop project plans, process maps/workflows, timelines, and resource allocation strategies to meet delivery requirements.
• Monitor progress against milestones and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with updates to meet client expectations.
• Collaborate with lawyers, clients, and counterparties to drive project execution.
• Act as primary point of contact for project-related queries and updates.
• Facilitate communication between legal teams, clients, and third-parties.
• Implement and manage client and matter-based internal and external reporting.
• Apply best practices for legal project execution including risk management, reporting, and quality control.
• Identify areas for process improvement and propose solutions.
• Proactively manage scope and deploy scope management plans.
• Track budgets and ensure financial performance aligns with forecasts.
• Develop client matter/project documentation and reports, including financial reporting and metrics.
• Support pricing and fee structuring to maintain profitability.
• Generate regular financial reports and cost analyses.
