Job summary

Addleshaw Goddard's growing Scottish Finance practice seeks a junior solicitor to support and lead elements of financing transactions from inception to completion. You will advise lenders, borrowers and corporates across Scotland, the UK and internationally, building expertise across a diverse portfolio.

The role offers development of technical skills, close work with Banking & Finance Partners, and a pathway toward managing associate and leadership responsibilities within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years' PQE in Banking & Finance with a recognised practice.
• Experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating finance documentation.
• Ability to manage discrete transaction workstreams and stakeholders.
• Commercial awareness and client-objective focus.

Responsibilities

• Support and lead aspects of complex financing transactions from inception to completion.
• Draft, review and negotiate finance and security documentation.
• Lead transaction workstreams including due diligence and deal execution.
• Act as day-to-day contact for lenders, borrowers and counterparties.
• Build client relationships and understand commercial objectives.
• Collaborate with corporate, real estate, restructuring and other teams.
• Contribute to business development and strengthen the team's profile.
• Develop market knowledge to provide commercially focused advice.
• Identify opportunities to improve client delivery and ways of working.
• Deliver high-quality technical advice with increasing responsibility.
