Overview
As a Bank Support Worker, you will provide high-quality care and support to individuals in their homes or community settings, assist with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration, promote independence and support individuals to achieve their personal goals, maintain accurate records and reports, and work flexibly to meet the needs of the service, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care and support to individuals in their homes or community settings.
- Assist with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration.
- Promote independence and support individuals to achieve their personal goals.
- Maintain accurate records and reports.
- Work flexibly to meet the needs of the service, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Provide support 24/7, including waking night shifts and sleep-ins. Support typically provided on a 1:1 and 2:1, although shared support may be required for group activities or outings.

Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar care/support role is desirable but not essential.
- A compassionate and caring nature.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required.
- A valid driving license and access to a vehicle is desirable.
- Experience with Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) approaches is desirable.
- Applicants should be confident in delivering personal care and prepared to support individuals who may present with behaviours that challenge, if needed.
