Job summary

A social care provider in Lewes is seeking a Bank Support Worker to provide practical and emotional care for adults with various challenges. The ideal candidate will have experience in supporting vulnerable adults and possess good communication skills. The role requires flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays. Qualifications

• Experience in supporting adults with challenging behaviour, learning disabilities, and/or mental health issues.
• Ability to keep calm under pressure.
• Desire and commitment to achieve high standards of safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the day-to-day implementation of support plans.
• Maintain communication with service users and families while respecting confidentiality.
• Support service users with meal preparation and cleaning.
• Maintain accurate notes and records as required.
• Provide high-quality care as part of a team.
• Help cover sleep ins.

Skills

We are providing individuals with practical and emotional care, enabling them to lead as ordinary life as they can achieve. To help them achieve this you will need to be flexible as you are required to work shifts including bank holidays, weekends and potential sleep ins.

Main duties and responsibilities

1. To participate in the day to day implementation of individual support plans and activities within a challenging environment.
2. To maintain effective communication and liaison with service users, families and others whilst respecting appropriate confidentiality.
3. To support service users with the preparation of Meals, Laundry duties, cleaning and social events.
4. To maintain accurate notes and records as and when required.
5. To work as part of a team to provide high quality care.

Personal Characteristics
