Job summary

Prime Life in Leicester is seeking passionate and dedicated care professionals to join Oval House Nursing and Residential Home as a Support Worker. The home has 24 residents with varying health needs, and we aim to provide respectful, person-centred care in a friendly team.

We offer full or part-time roles with regular shifts between 8am and 8pm. Applicants should be patient and caring; full training is provided and a supportive Quality Matters team backs your development.

Qualifications

• We require a genuine caring nature and desire to make a difference.
• Patience, understanding and respect are essential, prior experience as a Support Worker or Care Assistant is desirable but not essential; full training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Providing respectful and dignified support to residents
• Encouraging residents to achieve the highest possible quality of life that is right for them
• Providing companionship whilst giving emotional and practical support
• Assisting residents to participate in any decisions relating to their daily living arrangements
• Helping residents with day to day activities such as personal care, recreational activities, and accompanying residents outside of the home
• Promoting resident independence in the preparation of food and/or at mealtimes
• Working with other professionals to provide individualised care and development plans

This role will be based at Oval House Nursing and Residential Home in Braunstone, Leicester. The home has 24 residents with varying age‑related, physical and mental health conditions. Candidates must be patient, understanding and respectful of each resident’s individual abilities.

Benefits Of Becoming Our Support Worker

Regular shift patterns between 8am and 8pm across a 7‑day week. Pay ranges from £12.96 to £13.32 per hour depending on qualification. Benefits include:

What We’re Looking For In Our Support Worker
