Job summary

VerseOne Group is recruiting bank doctors to work across specialties, from single shifts to extended posts with evening, weekend and on-call shifts available. This is NHS bank work with no guaranteed hours and an emphasis on flexibility.

The role requires GMC registration, MBBS or equivalent, and designated NHS body connection; you must commit to a minimum of shifts per month as applicable. Salary is £55–£60 per hour with a flexible pattern.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent from a recognised Medical School.
• Full GMC registration and NHS designation on GMC where applicable.
• Desirable degree: BSC or relevant qualification.

Responsibilities

• Liaise between nurses, clinicians, patients and relatives to support safe care.
• Attend board and ward rounds and participate in daily activities.
• Provide workplace supervision when requested.
• Maintain high standards of professionalism and documentation.
• Arrive on time for booked shifts and be available from start time.
• Attend local induction when working in new areas.
• Comply with Trust policies and values.
• Other duties as advised by the specialty clinical.

Job summary

We are looking to recruit suitably qualified doctors to work across specialties for work ranging from a single shift to an extended post, with evening, weekend and on-call shifts available (depending on shift availability).

As this is Bank work, it is on an 'as and when' basis with no guaranteed hours.

Main duties and responsibilities

• To liaise between nurses, other clinicians, patients, relatives in order to support safe care
• To attend and participate in board rounds, ward rounds and other related daily activities
• To provide appropriate workplace supervision to other staff as and when needed as requested
• To maintain high standards of professionalism, especially in relation to documentation
• To arrive on time for the booked shift and be available for work from the arranged start time
• Attend local induction as appropriate when working in new areas
• Comply with Trust policies, including upholding the trust's values and behaviours
• Other duties commensurate with the post/grade as advised by the speciality clinical

Designated Body

For Bank doctors we require you to already possess a designated body on your GMC for employment on the MSE NHS bank. For Bank doctors to be connected to Mid and South Essex Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as a GMC approved designated body they must work a minimum of 12 shifts per month. If the applicant is already registered with an Agency then they remain the Designated Body and Responsible Officer.

Essential knowledge

• 6-12 months UK Experience in a UK Hospital
• Competencies FY1 and FY2 both signed off

Desirable knowledge

• Ability to develop and maintain a sub-speciality interest

Essential qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent from a recognised Medical School
• Full Registration with the General Medical Council
• Designation of Responsible Office listed as NHS on GMC

Desirable qualifications

• BSC or relevant degree
