A leading health board in Wales is seeking a competent Ultrasound professional to deliver diagnostic services to patients. You will provide care in a safe environment and communicate sensitive information effectively. This role demands substantial experience and the ability to work independently, as well as the registration requirements. The position is flexible and includes essential benefits like generous leave and opportunities for career development.
Provide a professionally competent Ultrasound service to patients throughout the University Health Board, in a safe clinical environment.
Provide a caring, confidential diagnostic service to all patients, ensuring their dignity and privacy are not compromised.
You will normally be required to work without direct clinical supervision but will report to the Superintendent Radiographers within the Department.
English and Welsh speakers both equally welcome to apply.
The bank worker will often be required to communicate sensitive clinical, complex and sometimes highly complex diagnostic information to patients using appropriate clinical discretion with empathy and reassurance, often in difficult and emotive situations. E.g. reporting foetal abnormalities or foetal death to the patient.
You will be required to liaise with staff across the Health Board regarding examinations requested, providing information about examinations and making arrangements to ensure examinations are carried out.
The bank worker will regularly attend Ultrasound User group meetings; these provide a suitable forum for informal discussion and feedback about relevant Ultrasound issues.
