Job summary

Excelcare is seeking a Senior Care Assistant nights at Limecourt Care Home, Harwich, Essex. You will mentor a team to deliver outstanding care, report to the Home Manager, and engage residents with meaningful activities while promoting independence and dignity.

The role requires 2+ years in care with NVQ 2/3 or 3+ years without NVQ, and knowledge of dementia care. Training on e-MAR medication prompts provided. 0 hours contract with night or day shifts.

Qualifications

• Two years' experience as a Care Assistant or Senior Care Assistant with an NVQ 2/3 qualification in Health and Social Care OR three years' experience without an NVQ.
• Experience in a nursing or care home OR as a home care worker.
• Understanding of regulatory frameworks - Care Quality Commission (CQC).
• Knowledge and practice of working with people suffering with dementia is desirable.

• As a Senior Care Assistant/Team Leader, you will be working alongside and mentoring a team of Care Assistants to ensure that outstanding care is delivered at all times.
• You would be reporting to the Home Manager and work directly with the ancillary teams and other Senior Care Assistants and registered nurses within the home.
• You will be engaging in meaningful activities with the people living in our care home as well as always promoting independence, choice, dignity, and respect.
• Your involvement with creating person-centred care plans and risk assessments will be key to the successful delivery of outstanding care and regular updates and reviews will be required.

• £14.05 per hour to £14.50 per hour depending on experience and qualifications
• 0 Hours a week (Zero hours contract)
• Shifts 8pm-8am or 8am-8pm Monday - Sunday.

What we are looking for from you:
