Job summary

Spectrum Community Health CIC is seeking Bank Nurses to join our staff bank at HMP Holme House, providing primary, acute and emergency care within a secure setting. The days vary, with wide training opportunities and a supportive multi-disciplinary team. You will perform nurse-led clinics, administer medications, manage emergencies, and undertake wound care and triage. A Registered Nurse Level 1 with relevant experience is essential.

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse Level 1 (Adult/General/MMH) is essential.
  • Excellent communication and bedside manner are required.
  • Experience in primary care, acute or mental health settings is desirable.

Main duties of the job

Working in secure healthcare will bring new challenges and we have opportunities for Bank Nurses.


The days are varied and there is a wide range of training and development opportunities. You will be part of a wider multi-disciplinary team delivering primary care, mental health and substance misuse services to our patients. This includes nurse led clinics, administering medication and treatments, emergency response, triage, wound care, examinations and referrals. No two days are the same working in our friendly and supportive team.

Essential


  • Registered Nurse Level 1 - Adult / General/Mental Health

  • Mentorship / teaching / assessing experience


Knowledge and Experience

  • Awareness of current healthcare issues

  • Awareness of clinical governance, risk management and quality agenda.

  • Working within a multi-disciplinary healthcare team

  • There is a requirement to undertake training to become proficient in the use of SystemOne.

  • Experience of appraisal and clinical supervision
