Job summary

A leading supported living provider in the UK is looking for a Project Worker to assess client needs and support their integration into society. Ideal candidates will have experience in domestic abuse support, knowledge of housing management, and strong interpersonal skills. Qualifications

  • Previous experience supporting victims of domestic abuse or in supported living.
  • Sound knowledge of housing management including voids and arrears.
  • Understanding of occupancy agreements.

Responsibilities

  • Assessing clients' needs and updating support plans.
  • Helping clients with finances and welfare benefits.
  • Encouraging social inclusion and building clients' resilience.
  • Working with agencies on behalf of clients.
  • Promoting safe practices through risk assessments.

Job description
The role of Project Worker will include :

Regularly assessing the needs of clients by writing and updating support plans, and signposting access to education, training, and employment

Assisting clients with managing finances and welfare benefits

Encouraging social inclusion and helping clients to build their confidence, resilience, and self‑esteem

Working with statutory and non‑statutory agencies on behalf of the clients and actively encouraging choice and involvement, or acting as an advocate when required

Promoting safe working practices by undertaking risk assessments within legislative frameworks

Skills and experiences :

You will have previous experience in a role supporting victims of domestic abuse or a background gained in a supported living environment in a project worker capacity

Sound knowledge of housing management including voids and arrears management

Good understanding of occupancy agreements

The ability to react effectively under pressure

The ability to work on your own initiative and ability to source innovative solutions to problems

You will be empathetic and non‑judgmental with good interpersonal and customer care skills

NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care, or willing to work towards, is essential
