A leading healthcare provider in the United Kingdom is seeking Nurses or Paramedics to work in Police Custody Suites. You will deliver critical care to detainees, assessing their needs and administering medications. Candidates must have at least 2 years of post-qualification experience and necessary certifications. We require Registered (Adult) Nurses / RGNs, or Paramedics with 2 years post qualification experience, who want to deliver gold standard care and be a proud part of a team that has this vision with a real passion for developing clinical, forensic and wider skills.
You must have the flexibility to work not only in your base Custody suite but across an assigned region in the Police Custody Suites and Force area.
The custody suites can be an energetic place to work, with no two shifts the same. While detained, we provide individuals with all their physical, mental healthcare and wellbeing needs, as well as gather any forensic samples needed by the police to aid their investigations. Making careful records on our computerised systems, you will be assessing whether people are fit to be detained or released, administering medications when needed, and working with local Liaison and Diversion teams to address root cause issues that can prevent future crime. No previous forensic experience required; we will provide all your training.
