Job description

Would you like to be part of a pioneering service expanding the Out of Hours provision for specialist palliative care services supporting patients across West Suffolk and Thetford? As part of the West Suffolk Alliance, we are committed to supporting people to die well, and where possible in accordance with the choices they have made. This means enhancing the support we provide during OOH periods, whilst working in partnership with our community colleagues. In addition to the existing OOH staff we have the exciting opportunity to be able to expand the hours we offer to patients with additional bank hours (temporary contract for 4 months also considered).

  • Provision of home-made meals available for staff in our onsite bistro
  • Access to Blue Light Card scheme with a range of discounts
  • Opportunities to attend staff social events arranged by our social committee (such as photography group, quiz nights, and organisational picnics to name a few)
We are looking for a committed Healthcare Assistant ideally with some community experience (not essential) to work alongside a Specialist Nurse/Paramedic Out of Hours. (Hours negotiable between 18.00-08.00)

You will be able to support patients where they call home and educate family carers in their home.
