A leading healthcare provider in North End is seeking dynamic Bank Operating Department Practitioners for their anaesthetic team. The role involves providing clinical support in a challenging and exciting environment. Candidates must hold a UK anaesthetic qualification or be nearing qualification as an ODP. This position may require weekend and holiday work as part of a 24-hour care rota. The hospital offers a supportive work culture with continuous quality improvement initiatives.
We are looking for dynamic and enthusiastic Bank Operating Department Practitioners to join our Anaesthetic team in Main Theatres. We welcome applications from experienced practitioners. We offer a supportive, exciting and challenging work environment. Our Main Theatre Suite comprises nine Theatres and one Recovery Unit; one of our theatres is a dedicated obstetric theatre and two of our theatres are modern, integrated laparoscopic theatres. The team also provides skilled anaesthetic assistance in other areas such as CT, MRI, Accident & Emergency, also supporting level 3 transfers to other unit and as part of the hospital resuscitation team. The successful candidates would be expected to participate in a rota system that provides 24 hour care, including weekends and public holidays.
The successful candidates will provide clinical support within the anaesthetic team, ensuring effective support for colleagues to plan, monitor and evaluate skills in the delivery of appropriate care for perioperative patients. Providing a quality service with responsibility for patient safety and standards of care, ensuring the provision of evidence-based care by being a role model providing specialist knowledge within theatre practice. Admin & Clerical staff may be required to act as Loggists for a major incident.
Please note, applications will only be considered from registered ODP's or registered Nurses with an approved UK anaesthetic qualification, or student ODP's nearing qualification. This post has been identified as involving access to vulnerable adults and / or children and in line with Trust Policy; successful applicants will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS Check. Everyone within the Trust has or will shortly need to have a minimum level of skill for computer literacy for their day-to day- work as we become more digitally mature. Therefore all staff should be computer literate.
