Bank Specialist Physiotherapist
Location: The Christie Private Care, Wilmslow Road, Manchester, M20 4BX
Contract type: Bank

Pay: Bank hourly rate between £27.77ph - £42.77 dependent upon shift.

We are looking for a Bank Physiotherapist to join our Specialist Oncology AHP team at The Christie Private Care (TCPC), currently rated 'Outstanding' by the CQC. This is a unique opportunity to join our clinically advanced, motivated and compassionate team, whose focus above all else is to ensure the delivery of exceptional care.

As a Bank Physiotherapist, you\'ll be part of a close-knit team consisting of 2 advanced physiotherapists, physiotherapy lead, other bank physiotherapists, an advanced dietitian, a dietetic lead and complementary therapists.

Day to day you will co-ordinate and deliver a tailored in-patient and out-patient physiotherapy service to private patients in our care, whilst having the opportunity to develop your skillset with the area of oncology and contribute to service development at TCPC.

What you\'ll bring
  • HCPC Registration
  • Physiotherapy degree qualification or equivalent
  • Post registration experience working with cancer patients
  • Post registration broad clinical experience- surgery, cardiorespiratory, ITU/CCU, general medicine, neurology, musculoskeletal physiotherapy
Desirable
  • Additional training within the area of oncology
  • Advanced communication skills
  • Experience working with breast cancer patients
  • Experience working with gynaecological cancer patients
  • Lymphoedema training/ experience
  • Scar therapy training/ experience
  • Experience of collaborating in audit and/or research.
  • Knowledge of cancer, its impact and management
