Join Our Team as a Bank Nursery Practitioner! (Zero Hours - Flexible Contract)

Are you passionate about creating brighter futures for children? At Newton Abbot, we’re looking for a Bank Nursery Practitioner to join our team. Bring your enthusiasm, creativity, and dedication, and let's make a difference together!

Experience working in a childcare setting is required for this role. A Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification is desirable but not essential.

Please note: we are unable to offer sponsorship for this role.

Pay

Up to £12.21 per Hour *plus accrued holiday pay

Working Hours

Zero hour contract - This gives you flexibility to work different shifts each week depending on the Nursery needs, between 8am-6pm - Monday to Friday.

Located in the historic market town, hdc Newton Abbot Nursery provides a nurturing and stimulating environment that offers the perfect start for your child’s learning journey. We offer a hygge-inspired environment to enable children to grow and be comfortable in homely surroundings. At our Ofsted-rated Good nursery, the décor and room layouts are set to encourage togetherness and familiarity. The focus is on children’s interests; an adult helping hand is provided to promote extended learning and support development. The nursery is located on Devon Square in the centre of Newton Abbot, making it wonderfully central and only a short walk from the train station.

What Your Role Involves
  • Create a warm, fun, and nurturing environment where children feel safe and thrive.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, play-based activities aligned with the EYFS framework.
  • Build meaningful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Monitor and celebrate children’s development milestones, keeping records to share with parents.

Support the day-to-day running of the nursery, maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and care.
