Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care North Devon Renal Dialysis Unit in Barnstaple seeks a Bank Registered Nurse to learn specialist renal skills and provide high-quality dialysis care. You will assess needs and deliver holistic care for CKD or AKI patients, working autonomously with HCAs on a 1:4 ratio.

Shifts vary between 07:00 and 18:30; the unit upholds competitive pay and professional development in a leading NHS dialysis context.

Qualifications

• NMC registered nurse with NHS or private sector experience.
• Ability to assess care needs and develop, implement and evaluate dialysis care.
• Willingness to learn specialist renal dialysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess care needs and develop, implement and evaluate dialysis care plans.
• Provide holistic nursing care to dialysis patients with CKD or AKI.
• Work autonomously with a 1:4 nurse-patient ratio, supported by HCAs.
• Operate within North Devon dialysis unit and shifts 07:00–18:30.

Are you anNMCRegistered Nurse seeking an exciting new opportunity to learn specialist skills in renal dialysis nursing?

You may have NHS experience or have worked in the private care sector, but whatever your Nursing background, with the right attitude and aptitude we have an opportunity for you!

What does the role involve?

Being aDialysis nurserequires commitment and passion along with the skills and competencies to juggle the technical nursing aspect whilst giving holistic care. You will be working autonomously, responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of care for dialysis patients with chronic kidney disease or acute kidney injury.

North DevonUnit operates12haemodialysisstations, serving up to36patients.Nursing is planned at a ratio1:4patients,and you will be supported byHCA’son each shift.

This is abank position. Current days are working various shifts between07.00am and18.30pm.

We offer a competitive Hourly rate of £22 per hour.
