Bank level 6 Specialist Speech and Language Therapist

Provide specialist assessment, diagnosis and intervention for children and young people with speech, language and communication needs. Deliver therapy to individuals and groups in accordance with agreed care pathways and service standards. Manage a complex caseload and make autonomous clinical decisions within professional scope of practice. Maintain accurate and timely clinical records using electronic patient record systems. Prepare detailed reports containing sensitive and complex clinical information. Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, schools, families and partner agencies. Supervise and support junior therapists, assistants and students. Deliver specialist training and advice to colleagues and other professionals. Support service evaluation, clinical audit, governance and pathway development activities. Maintain professional registration, continuing professional development and evidence-based practice in line with HCPC and RCSLT standards.
