Westerton Care Home is seeking a dedicated Laundry Assistant to manage washing, drying, ironing and returning items for residents. You will label items clearly and maintain a tidy laundry area to support comfort and daily wellbeing.
The role involves following hygiene and infection control protocols and working as part of a supportive team. PVG is paid and a uniform is provided, with bank hours per week to cover shifts.

Laundry Assistant Contract
As Laundry Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring residents’ clothing and linen are cared for to a high standard, supporting comfort, dignity and daily wellbeing. This is a hands on role where attention to detail and organisation are essential.
You will be responsible for washing, drying, ironing and returning items correctly, ensuring all clothing is clearly labelled and handled with care. Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the laundry area, you will ensure all processes are carried out safely and efficiently.
Working as part of a supportive team, you will follow infection control, health and safety and laundry procedures, ensuring a consistent and reliable service that contributes to a well organised and comfortable environment.
