Bupa UK is seeking an Assistant Chef (Bank) at Aston Court Care Home in Sutton Coldfield. The role offers a bank contract with flexible hours and an hourly rate of £13.54–£15.08 depending on qualifications and experience.

You will create varied menus, train and supervise the kitchen team, and handle budgeting, orders and deliveries while adhering to COSHH and HACCP guidelines. This position supports residents through high-quality, home-style meals and event catering as required.

Qualifications

• Passion for cooking with experience in a fresh-food kitchen.
• Relevant hygiene certificates.
• Ability to create varied, nutritious menus per dietary needs.

Responsibilities

• Create a varied and nutritious menu in line with dietary needs and preferences.
• Train and manage the kitchen team in prepping, cooking and serving of food.
• Manage all mandatory paperwork including COSHH and HACCP guidelines, budgets, orders and deliveries.
• Cater for special events or seasonal activities as required.
