As our kitchen assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the day‑to‑day operations of our care homes kitchen. What you’ll be doing
  • Supporting the Chefs in the planning and provision of high‑quality meals that meet the nutritional and dietary requirements of our residents
  • Plan, prepare, and serve balanced meals that meet dietary requirements
  • Ensure all food prepared meets Food Hygiene Standards and that safe methods of work are always used
  • Manage all stocks and stores ensuring all food is correctly marked and stock rotation systems are in place
  • Maintain accurate records to satisfy food hygiene requirements, such as fridge temperature checks
About you
  • Proven experience working in a similar catering role, ideally in a care or similar environment
  • Committed to customer care and first‑class service provision
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety COSHH regulations
  • Empathy and a desire to make a difference to the lives of our residents
  • Ability to multi‑task, work under pressure and on own initiative in a fast‑paced environment
  • Can‑Do flexible team worker, problem fixer, passionate about what they do, able to manage diverse and demanding workload, think out of the box, open to doing things differently
