Spire Leicester Hospital is looking for an Imaging Assistant to join the imaging department on a bank, zero-hour contract. The role involves supporting ultrasound and fluoroscopy clinics, including sensitive examinations, while maintaining professional patient care and providing chaperoning when needed.

Ideal candidates have prior HCA/RDA experience in a clinical setting and exposure to ultrasound workflows.

Qualifikationen

• Experience as a Healthcare Assistant (HCA) or Radiology Department Assistant (RDA) in a clinical/acute environment.
• Exposure to ultrasound environments is essential, with understanding of workflows and patient pathways.
• Knowledge/experience supporting Radiologists during ultrasound and fluoroscopy examinations.
• Ability to provide high-quality patient care, including handling sensitive procedures and acting as a chaperone when needed.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
• NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care is desirable but not essential.

The role involves supporting a range of ultrasound and fluoroscopy clinics, including breast, gynaecology, and other sensitive examinations, requiring a professional and compassionate approach to patient care and chaperoning duties.

Duties and responsibilities

• Assisting the Imaging team in the provision of exemplary patient care
• Contributing to the support and monitoring of patients
• Identifying and reporting any significant changes that might affect the patient's health and well-being to the appropriate person
• Assisting with the movement of patients in line with hospital policies

Who we're looking for

• Previous experience working as a Healthcare Assistant (HCA), Radiology Department Assistant (RDA), or equivalent in a clinical/acute healthcare environment.
• Previous exposure to an ultrasound environment is essential, with an understanding of departmental workflows and patient pathways.
• Knowledge and experience of supporting Radiologists during ultrasound and fluoroscopy examinations.
• Ability to provide high-quality patient care, including supporting patients during sensitive and intimate procedures and acting as a chaperone where appropriate.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
• Experience or knowledge of imaging services is desirable.

Working Hours: Zero-hour contract, Ad hoc shifts Monday to SaturdayContract Type: Bank
