A local healthcare facility in Sutton is urgently seeking two Housekeeping / Kitchen Assistants. The hospice requires two bank Housekeeping / Kitchen Assistants who can be available at a moments notice and with planned holiday cover, to support our hard working team.

We maintain clean and tidy environments throughout all rooms and common areas of the Hospice, and assist in the kitchen with food prep and ensure proper sanitation to health and safety standards throughout. The role consists of the following requirements :

Kitchen
  • Take patients orders and requests.
  • Understand dietary requirement / preferences.
  • To cook light meals and provide drinks to patients.
  • Inform Housekeeping Manager of stock levels.
  • Keep kitchen including fridge compliant to Health and Safety standards.
Housekeeping
  • To maintain a high standard of hygiene, cleanliness and tidiness within all areas of work assigned by the Housekeeping Manager.
  • To follow procedures laid down by the Housekeeping Manager.
  • To ensure that Health and Safety policies are carried out, especially regarding cross infection, and to take all necessary precautions.
  • To be clean, neat and tidy in appearance and always wear the uniform provided by the Hospice.
  • To be responsible for equipment and its care and to report any deficiencies to the Housekeeping Manager.
  • To undertake any other related housekeeping duties as directed from time to time by the Housekeeping Manager.
