Job summary

Optegra has a vacancy for a Bank Healthcare Technician at our York Hospital site, offering zero hour contracts with flexible shifts and pay up to £16ph dependent on experience. You will work in a multi-disciplinary team delivering ophthalmic diagnostics, pre-assessment and post-operative care to patients.

We welcome applications from those with HCT/HCA experience in hospital settings, BLS qualification, strong IT skills and excellent organisation. Part-time applicants are considered.

Qualifications

• Experience of working as a HCT/HCA in a hospital ward or theatre environment, particularly in Ophthalmology.
• Basic Life Support competent.
• Strong IT skills, able to use all Microsoft Office applications and other systems.
• Highly organised, with clear forward planning and ability to flex according to customer needs.
• Part-time applications considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide the highest standards of ophthalmic care to patients as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Deliver diagnostics, pre-assessment and post-operative ophthalmic care and treatment alongside clinicians and optometrists.

The Role

As part of a multi-disciplinary team with an emphasis on quality patient care, you will provide the highest standards of care to our patients. You’ll work alongside clinical colleagues and optometrists delivering diagnostics, pre assessment and post operative ophthalmic care and treatment.

What You’ll Need
